Here’s a short video produced by club member Liam Foster in 2016 to showcase what our club is all about.

Dunboyne Camera Club was set up in September 2009.  We meet most Tuesdays from September to June from 8.00pm to 9.30pm in the local Community Centre.  We also have occasional evening and weekend outings to photograph various places of interest – usually within an hour’s drive – that are likely to yield the odd nice photo 🙂

The club is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in learning how to take better photos and you can use any type of camera – smartphone, point & shoot, compact, DSLR, film, digital, etc. We have members of  all levels of experience. Our club nights often include guest speakers, tutorials on different aspects of photography, competitions and practical sessions.

We are a relatively small and friendly club, and new members are always welcome. And don’t worry if you have absolutely no experience but would like to learn more – we all started out like that. We can assign a mentor to help answer your questions and provide you with guidance whenever needed – on photography-related matters!

If you’d like to check us out first, you’d be be very welcome to come along and join us at one of weekly meetings any Tuesday free of charge.

What Does It Cost?

Our annual subscription is currently €60 (to cover things like insurance, IPF membership*, etc.) and then €1 for each meeting you attend.

Hope to see you at the club soon.

*The club is a member of the Irish Photography Federation – Club no C073.
